The Beets CSS and JavaScript framework is built upon Bootstrap. Beets is not meant to be a competitor to Bootstrap but rather a ”theme”, and I really do encurage anyone reading this to leave this page, go to Bootstrap’s page and start using Bootstrap before considering Beets.
The porpose of Beets is to satisfy my own personal issues I have with the design of Bootstrap. I spend a lot of time modifying the source code for each of my projects to fit my needs which, for right now, are mostly databases, web apps and admin pages. That is why I made Beets suitable for those applications in particular. If you wan’t something flashy with paralax effects and hero images you should look somewhere else!
Once again, if you have never tried Bootstrap, please check it out before downloading and trying out Beets. The souce code of Beets is built upon Bootstrap’s and I want Beets and Bootstrat to be somewhat interchangeble.
The Bootstrap team has much better documentations, accessibility in mind and a comunity for support and more! There are probably a lot of bugs in Beets at this moment and I don’t know when or if I will fix them.
